Healthy Baking Class
Healthy baking class – 38 hours of classroom learning and practical to learn how to bake healthy bakery such as Batard Mixed Grain Fiber Bread, Sprouted Grain Bread, Rye, Walnut & Fig Boule Bread Gluten Free Bread (Plain / Raisin & Walnut), Short Crust Pastry & Frangipani Filling, Gluten Free Sponge Roll, Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie, Chiffon Style Cake Batter (Sugar replacer) and Eggless Cake Muffins (Fat replacer).

Course Objectives: Healthy Baking Class
- To provide the learner with the knowledge and skills required to be able to modify existing bakery recipes to increase fibre and grains in breads and pastry.
- To develop formulas such as fat free, egg free, gluten free and products that meet nutrition and dietary guidelines recommended by Singapore Health Promotion Board.

- Science of baking in new products and recipes
- Replace ingredients with healthier bakery products
- Increased fiber and Grain in bread
- Gluten-free alternatives for health
- Fat and egg alternatives
- Workplace, safety, and Health in the baking industry

Course Training Duration
Total 38 in-class training hours.
Time: (9am – 6pm)
External Venue: Bukit Merah
Mode of Training
The training is conducted in classroom. Each learner will have their own fully-equipped station, where they can try their hand at baking several recipes.
There will also be a live demonstration, where in-house chefs will be teaching and demonstrating the entire process live.
Certification
Participants who fulfil all requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
