Course Overview
This WSQ Environmental Cleaning module, known as Supervise Service Operation or Customer Management (Level 3), is one of the core modules to apply Cleaning Business Licence. This course is designed for senior cleaners, cleaning supervisors and business owners in Singapore.
Who Should Attend
This course is tailored for individuals in the cleaning industry who aspire to move into supervisory positions. It also provides valuable insights for current cleaning supervisors seeking to strengthen their customer service management skills, boost team performance, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality cleaning services.
In addition, business owners planning to start a cleaning company are required to attend this course along with Effectiveness Management (DCMP Level 3) in order to meet the requirements for applying for an NEA license.

Course Objectives
At the end of this cleaning supervisor course, the learner is able to:
- Identify and analyse the needs and expectations of both the cleaning team and the clients receiving the cleaning services, ensuring service delivery aligns with these requirements.
- Implement and monitor processes and procedures to guarantee that cleaning services are performed to the required standards.
- Track customer feedback, assess the effectiveness of service delivery, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to continuously enhance customer satisfaction and service standards.
Course Outline
This Customer Management (Level 3) course provides a comprehensive understanding of how to plan and deliver high-quality cleaning services that meet customer needs. The curriculum covers the following:
Unit 1: Plan to Meet Internal and External Customer Requirements
- Define service and quality standards to be offered in each operational area in order to meet the organisational service objective.
- Collaborate with relevant business partners, customers and colleagues to enhance service planning.
- Use customer feedback and information to improve service planning.
- Develop specific plans that will ensure sustainable and consistent delivery of quality customer service.
- Identify service risks that may occur during service delivery.
- Develop effective contingency plans to deal with service risks affecting the service.
Unit 2: Ensure the Delivery of Quality Service
- Request for the resources required to execute service delivery plans.
- Develop targets for staff delivering the service.
- Check and ensure that planned resources are available when required to support the best possible service delivery.
- Brief relevant staff on their service objectives and targets in accordance with the service delivery plan.
- Acknowledge excellent service performance to motivate staff.
- Address problems relating to service operations.
Unit 3: Monitor and Review Customer Service
- Encourage feedback from internal and external customers and staff on service operations.
- Collect and review feedback from customers and staff on service operations.
- Evaluate service operations against the quantitative targets set.
- Modify service operations in response to evaluation.
- Monitor the progress of refined service operations.

Certification
Participants who are assessed as Competent will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Pre-requisites
Learners are encouraged to:
- Have basic knowledge of their own work role and the corresponding responsibilities and limitations
- Have a minimum secondary school education
- Demonstrate proficiency in Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking of English at a level equivalent to Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3
- Develop Numeracy skills at a proficiency level equivalent to Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3
- Have some prior cleaning work experience to provide context and understanding of the industry
Our staff and course consultants will assess interested trainees to ensure they meet these prerequisites, including the specified WPLN levels, and to determine any relevant licenses they may require for their work role. Learners who do not meet the WPLN Levels will be advised to enroll in appropriate WSQ cleaning courses and other WPLN courses to build a strong foundation for this supervisory training.
