Mode of Assessment

Assessment will be conducted through:

Participants who are assessed as Competent will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).

Minimum Entry

At least 16 years old

Have a minimum primary school education

Have a basic knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health requirements

Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification, i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3

Have a keen interest in how air conditioning systems work, and be willing to participate in practical hands-on work in semi-outdoor areas

No prior maintenance/technical work experience is required

Attire

Comfortable and practical clothing suitable for a workshop environment.

Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for safety reasons.

Can I really learn to service my own aircon in just two days?

Yes, but with realistic expectations. In two days, you can learn proper and safe air‑con servicing fundamentals and gain confidence to service your own unit correctly. However, advanced troubleshooting and repairs require further training and experience.

Do I need any tools or equipment for this course?

No. This SkillsFuture Advanced Air‑con Maintenance course is not suitable for beginners. It is designed for learners who already have basic air‑conditioning servicing knowledge and hands‑on experience, and who want to progress to advanced diagnostics, fault‑finding, and repair of modern inverter systems. ✅ Recommended: Complete a Basic Air‑con Maintenance course or have equivalent work experience before attending.

The air‑con maintenance course covers advanced diagnostics and corrective maintenance for modern air‑conditioning systems, including inverter technology, manufacturer error codes, safety and risk assessment, system dismantling, precision repair and replacement of components, reassembly and reinstatement, functional testing and performance validation, and completion of maintenance documentation and reports.
