Dementia Care & Elder Care Singapore
This course equips caregivers with practical knowledge and skills to provide safe, person-centred care for older persons in home, community, and facility settings. Learners will develop skills in safe movement, transfers, wheelchair handling, transportation, handover communication, and stroke-related caregiving. Course 1: Elder Care – Managing Safe Movement, Transportation & Handover Protocols
Course Aim:
Train caregivers to safely and confidently move, transfer, transport, and hand over older persons across home, community, and facility settings.

Course Aim:
Prepare learners to understand dementia, respond appropriately to behaviours and care needs, and develop person-centred care plans for home and community settings.

Yes. The course covers safe handling of persons with hemiplegia or hemiparesis, positioning, transfer precautions, communication, and recognising warning signs requiring urgent medical attention.
