Video production course to give learners the foundation in digital video content creation for social media marketing. Learn about the basics of videography, plus the concepts of content strategy and visual storytelling. In this 2 days course, you will learn more about various social media platforms which are in trend, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and how they can be implemented for your business so that you can engage and reach out to the 4.6 million active social media users in Singapore.

To ensure that you are able to run social media campaigns effectively, you will learn how to create compelling marketing videos using just your smartphone. Our course will cover basic  filming techniques and free applications which you can use to create media assets for your company.

  • Compare and contrast between simple video editing using native filters and stickers and professional video editing software
  • What makes a video go viral

Day 1

  • Understand your target audience and how to reach out to them on social media
  • Learn how to create an effective social media content calendar to engage your audiences
  • Learn and understand PDPA, IP, copyright and how to avoid infringement on social media platforms
  • Understand the positive and negative impacts of social media and learn how to keep up with new trends

Day 2

  • Evaluate various social media marketing platforms available and choose the right platforms suitable for you to grow and improve your business
  • Learn on the features available on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube to maximize business opportunities
  • Find out popular third party productivity tools that can help you manage multiple social media platforms better
  • Learn how to use free software on smartphone to create content suitable for usage on social media platforms
  • Learn how to build an active community on social media by developing community engagement activities such as lucky draws and contests
  • Understand how to engage and encourage your community to contribute content to your social media
  • Learn how to use positive reviews and user-generated content to get more business
  • How to set measurable goals and analyze traction and results

Entry Requirements

  • Aged 21 and above
  • Have basic computer literacy Level 2
  • Have minimum GCE “N”, “O” or “A” Level / NITEC or a diploma qualification and minimum 2 years of working experience;
  • Have an understanding and working knowledge of sales and marketing principles/practices and
  • Have an English language proficiency equivalent of higher of any of the following – GCSE N/O Levels pass in English / WPLN Level 5 / IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL (internet based total) 46-59.

Certification

Candidates who complete the course with at least 75% attendance and demonstrate competency during assessment will receive a Certificate of Completion by Cantley and the SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment under the National Infocomm Competency Framework (NICF).

Participants who fulfil all requirements will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
