Course Objectives
The Performance Statements covered are:
PS 1: Explain and interpret WSH legislations and other requirements relevant to deep excavation and tunnelling works
PS 2: Identify WSH hazards including unsafe work conditions and practices in a deep excavation and tunnelling work-site
PS 3: Evaluate and control risks in accordance to the organizational Risk Management Plan
PS 4: Identify gaps in the existing control measures & report to management for appropriate corrective actions and preventive actions
PS 5: Monitor and review the health condition of workers in a compressed air environment
PS 6: Assist in the evacuation of workers in an emergency situation

Entry Requirement
(Prior Knowledge) – Learners must have completed the Building Construction Supervisor Safety Course (BCSS) or Supervise Construction work for WSH (SCWSH)

Recommended for the trainee to achieve WSQ ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 4.
