Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP+) Funding Scheme

What is the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP+) Funding Scheme?

Under the Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP+) Funding Scheme, with effect from 1 October 2021, training support for Continuing Education and Training (CET) will be extended to Long Term Visit Pass Plus (LTVP+) holders.

This will open up the following subsidies for LTVP+ holders:

Important Points to Note:

  1. LTVP+ holders will not be eligible for SGUnited Skills (SGUS), SGUnited Mid-Career Pathways Programme-Company Training (SGUP-CT) and Career Conversion Programmes (CCPs) (which include both Professional Conversion Programmes (PCPs) and Rank-and-File programmes).
  2. The LTVP+ scheme currently applies to lawful foreign spouses of Singapore Citizens (SCs) with (i) at least one SC child or are expecting one from the marriage, or at least three years of marriage, and (ii) where the SC sponsor is able to support the family. LTVP+ holders can be identified with their green visit pass cards, with the word ‘PLUS’ on the back of the card.
  3. The grant disbursement process for LTVP+ trainees, such as submission of enrolment, attendance and assessment records will follow the existing processes applicable for SC/PR trainees on Training Partners Gateway.

William Chiam is an excellent trainer. He explains everything clearly in Food Safety Level 3, makes sure everyone understands the content by giving examples and recaps, and is patient and engaging throughout the training. Really enjoyed the session and learned a lot from him :)
He is exceptionally good at explaining complex regulations and concepts, he thoroughly breaks down every single topic and uses great real-world examples. If you want a knowledgeable, engaging, and dedicated Trainer William Chiam is the absolute best! Highly recommended!
Will urge u guys to go, very interesting....

I had signed up for the Bake Artisan and Decorative Breads course about 2.5 weeks before the course was due to begin. Two days before the course was due to commence, I was informed the course was postponed - no reason was provided.

After some back and forth with their customer service on trying to work out alternative dates for attendance, an appropriate replacement date for the course could not be found. Only when I specifically asked why the course was postponed, I was informed that several participants had dropped out at the last minute and the course no longer met the minimum number of participants required to run.

While this is somewhat out of the control of the organisation, overall this could have been communicated and managed better.
