Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE) Course
The Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (FECCE) program is specifically designed to equip a Para-Educarer or preschool assistant teacher with valuable knowledge and skills for their role to support teachers in the classroom management and supervision of children between 2 years to 6 years.

Course Title
Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education (synchronous e-learning)
Course Objective: FECCE
- To provide learners with the understanding of childcare and education, child development, within the context of the assistant caregiver.
- To present learners with the practical knowledge and skills of good practices in childcare
- To encourage learners to engage in reflective practices
- To equip learners with skills for small group activities, routine care and safety 5. To inform of learners of the role and responsibilities of the childcare assistant in a center
Fundamentals Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education
Course Content: FECCE
This course is designed to enable individuals to become valuable preschool assistants to support the preschool teachers in classroom management and supervision of children aged 18 months to 4 years.
Entry Requirements
- At least Secondary 2 education, OR
- 8 years of formal education
Application Fee
- $80 (Non-refundable for local students)
- $300 (Non-refundable for international students)
Certification
Students who have successfully completed the course will be awarded the Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education by Advent Links-SAUC Education Centre.
Graduates of FCECCE may continue to pursue Higher Certificate in Infant Care to become a certified educarer/infant teacher.
Other Early Childhood courses include WSQ Advanced Certificate in Early Years.
