Vehicle Body Work Maintenance (with Hands-on)
This Vehicle Body Work Maintenance course will impart knowledge for learners to do maintenance of vehicle bodies by themselves through hands-on experiential learning. This will help provide knowledge and awareness of vehicle parts that are consumable and needs maintenance to reduce the cost of vehicle maintenance.

Course Objective
At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
- LO1. Describe the types of vehicle components and parts that require maintenance
- LO2. Identify the types of maintenance supplies, spare parts, and consumables for vehicle bodywork maintenance
- LO3. Set up tools, equipment, materials, and checklists required for preventive maintenance tasks
- LO4. Conduct serviceability checks and inspections on vehicle bodywork
- LO5. Perform preventive maintenance tasks safely using the appropriate tools and equipment in accordance with organisation procedures, Work Instructions (WI), and/or Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technical manual instructions
- LO6. Record maintenance activities performed
- LO7. Report any faults and defects identified during the preventive maintenance process
Mode of Training
This course will take place in person, in a classroom.
Course Funding Options
Eligible Singaporeans can use SkillsFuture Credit to offset course fees, while NTUC members can utilise UTAP for up to 50% funding (capped at $250 per year). Companies can also benefit from Absentee Payroll (AP) funding at $4.50 per hour, capped at $100,000 per year.

Car Body Work Maintenance with Hands-on Content
TThis hands-on heavy course will equip learners with the essential skills and knowledge to effectively carry out preventive maintenance, serviceability checks, and servicing on the vehicle body. It is an entry-level course that is also suitable for learners who are interested in picking up vehicle bodywork maintenance know-how.
Minimum Entry
Entry Requirements
- At least 16 years old
- Have minimum primary school education
- Have a basic knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety and Health requirements
- Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3
- Have a keen interest in how vehicle bodywork maintenance is done and willing to participate in practical hands-on in semi-outdoor areas
- No prior maintenance/technical work experience is required.
