Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)

What is the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support)?

On 1 October 2020, under the Additional SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career Support) scheme, a one-off SkillsFuture Credit top up of $500 was provided to every Singapore Citizen (SC) who was between the age of 40 to 60 (as of 31 December 2020). This is on top of the $500 SkillsFuture Credit top-up that was credited to SCs aged 25 and above as at 31 December 2020.

This top up aims to provide mature workers with reskilling and upskilling opportunities to remain relevant and competitive. This will also give individuals more course options to pivot to different sectors/job roles and upskill.

Enhanced Mid-Career Support with SKILLSFUTURE LEVEL UP PROGRAMME

  • Support Course Fee

From 1 May 2024, the SkillsFuture Credit (Mid-Career) top-up of $4,000, which does not expire, can further offset out-of-pocket course fees for selected courses that have better employability outcomes. For more details, please visit the SkillsFuture Credit programme page

From Academic Year 2025, Singaporeans will qualify for Mid-Career Enhanced Subsidy for another publicly-funded full-time Diploma from ITE (Technical/Technical Engineering Diploma), Polytechnics (via Direct Admissions Exercise) and Arts Institutions (NAFA, LASALLE). The list of full-time diplomas and application periods for admission can be found on the institutions’ websites.

  • Financial Support For Full-time, Long-form Training

From early 2025, a new SkillsFuture Mid-Career Training Allowance will apply for selected full-time, long-form programmes.

The allowance will be based on 50% of one’s average income over the latest available 12-month period, capped at $3,000 a month, for up to 24 months over an individual’s lifetime.
