Toa Payoh is the area that we are located. It is the area where we conduct our most popular course and 2nd most popular one, also this is where we started this Coursemology training center. In Toa Payoh, central Singapore region.
One of the most important things that you should know about top higher, it is one of the oldest towns in Singapore. That’s why in here, you can easily see lot of older generations of Singaporeans. This also means that the Toa Payoh region in Singapore is One of the most history rich area that supports the growth and development of our beloved country.
Did you know that the name of “Toa Payoh” means big swamp? This area was once a notorious squatter district, which then redeveloped in 1964. And this place is also one of the places that Queen Elizabeth to visit in the. sit in the year of 1972 and 2006.
Some of the popular places in Toa Payoh is the Toa Payoh Town Park. Here you can see a lot of skinny landscape of bamboo and also a lot scanning landscape off willow trees. Sometimes it can also find some wedding shoots being done by those who are planning to marry soon. Such a lovely area, isn’t it? Oh and yes, you can find a high 27 meters high viewing tower in Toa Payoh, which is a popular tourist attraction.
Being one of the most mature locations in Singapore you can find some prominent agricultural history in Toa Payoh. Not all of the history of this place is glorious, though, Because the area was once in focus for its vice. That’s understandable because it is once home to some of Singapore’s largest crime syndicate and gangs. But now not anymore. Toa Payoh and Singapore in general is considered very safe.
Some of the things that you can easily notice about Toa Payoh, is that the city really follows urban planning principles. The zoning is really organized with a self-contained housing estate and a town center. You can also notice that the town has a really busy atmosphere, With some popular shopping malls and a diverse variant of commercial activities. And let’s don’t forget that the town has a good sporting complex, which a stadium, a sports hall and a swimming complex.
As all of us know that the housing in Singapore is managed and developed by HDB, the House Development Board. And in this respect Toa Payoh is the first town completely planned and developed by HDB. The town is designed using the neighborhood principles, which means that several neighborhoods are grouped around a town center. The town center, in turn acts as the center for entertainment and also for economic transactions for the residents of Toa Payoh.
We can say that this is one of Singapore oldest housing estate. Thus, it was the first to benefit from the Start Renewal Strategy – a really comprehensive approach to modernize older towns, to make older towns comparable with newer towns. This makes Toa Payoh Keeps being a vibrant place today even though it is one of the oldest part of Singapore.
