Course Overview
Security Surveillance Management (Perform Remote Surveillance Function)
Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to:
• LO1: Perform operational checks on remote surveillance equipment in accordance with organisational procedures
• LO2: Identify areas that are susceptible to security incident occurrence with remote surveillance equipment, in accordance with organisational procedures
• LO3: Observe suspicious activity for indications of security incident before activity escalates, in accordance with organisational procedures
• LO4: Respond to security incident upon assessment of situation, in accordance with organisational procedures

- Perform operation checks on remote surveillance equipment.

- Monitor and analyse behaviours in security incidents.

Security Surveillance Management (Perform Remote Surveillance Function)
Course Content
This course will impart the knowledge and skills for individuals who are presently holding the PWM rank of Senior Security Officer, and individuals who seek to promote from a PWM rank of Security Officer to a PWM rank of Senior Security Officer, to perform security surveillance duties at any assigned workplace. Security personnels will benefit from this course as they will develop the necessary skillset to perform security surveillance duties with tools and equipment such as remote surveillance equipment, at any assigned workplace.
Entry Requirements
- Have at least a primary education qualification
- Ability to listen and speak in English at WSQ (ES WSQ) level 4
- Ability to read and write in English at Employability Skill WSQ (ES WSQ) level 4
- Applicants who don’t fully meet the entry requirements are encouraged to contact us for an interview to discuss their suitability for the program
Nationality Requirements
- Singapore Citizen
- Singapore Permanent Resident
- Malaysian Citizen with valid work pass
Course Duration and Timings:
- 16 training hours (2 days) 09:00 to 18:00 daily
- Assessment by POLWEL – 2nd day (2 hours)
- Assessment format : Role-Play and Oral Questions
Certification
Participants who fulfil all requirements will be certified with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by the SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG).
