Training Synopsis

Whether in any work, business, or social event, networking and interacting with people effectively is an essential and highly important skill to learn and acquire. Moreover, mastering the art of relationship building and management will surely add an advantage to any life, work, sales, or service situation. Look no further as this training program touches on utilizing Personal Charisma strategies and Personalities Management to enhance one’s influence and presence in every networking function.

That’s not all – learners will go through a personality profiling assessment to discover themselves, their traits, and how to embrace and interact harmoniously with other personality types. Furthermore, to enhance one’s presence in any networking event that involves food and drinks, business dining skills with table manners and cutlery usage will also be shared. Other than the profiling and the dining display set with live demonstration, the training will also include hands-on training elements of discussion, case studies, and role-plays to enhance the learning experience.       • Setting objective/s to prepare one’s presence and branding in image projection
      • Knowing how to carry oneself well in etiquette and mannerism to learning strategic communication skills for immediate connection, etc.
  • Develop competence in Effective Networking Process and Procedures
    • Be guided through the various Procedural steps for a successful and effective networking time for any event/function from:
      • Order of approach in walking into the room for the first entrance to starting a conversation
      • Deploying communication etiquette to know the cultural differences when communicating with people of various nationalities and races
      • Utilizing verbal to non-verbal (body language) communication aspects for decoding interlocutors and message
      • Asking appropriate questions to find commonalities and soliciting information for work
      • Carrying out subtle self-promotion for self-value enhancement to asking for referrals and help when needed, etc.
    • Discover one’s personality traits through a profiling assessment
      • Importance of knowing various types of personalities in the world
      • Go through a personality profiling assessment (MACDOER SpectrumTM Personality Profiling) to determine one’s personality type and traits
      • Be guided through how to network and interact with people of various personalities
  • Develop an overall competence in Effective Networking’s Post-Event Follow-up
    • Be guided through the various Post-event follow-up steps for a successful and effective networking time for any event/function from:
      • How to sort contacts for efficiency to when to call the contacts
      • Which communication method/s could be better to be used for follow-up how to start the conversation at the start of the follow-up, etc.
  • Develop an Overall competence in Effective Networking Skills and Relationship Management at the workplace for corporate success
    • Putting all of the above skills learned into practice with assessment
      • Case studies and role-play of proposed real-life networking situations for more focused learning and direct application
      • Completion of course with assessment

For the training, learners will

  • Receive a full-fledged Workbook customized to the various topics-in-training
  • Be guided through utilizing the 3 ‘P’s of the Networking Cycle – from ‘Pre-Networking’ preparation to ‘Procedures of the Networking-in-action’ to ‘Post-Networking follow-up’, in which all skills, strategies, and secrets will be shared
  • Go through a Charisma Quotient assessment (‘Total Success Multi-QuotientTm’ Analytics Profiling) to find out their level of personal charisma in both life and work situations
  • Go through a Personality Profiling assessment and tool (‘MACDOER SpectrumTM Personality Profiling), and discover their personality type and corresponding traits
  • Be guided through various table manners and cutlery usage for cocktail receptions or business dining situations during networking to enhance one’s presence
  • Be presented with a ‘Step-by-Step Networking S.O.P in any Function’ Chart for fast, direct, and easy application of the skills learnt for more focused carrying out of networking whether for relationship management, sales performance, client-servicing, etc. in any social, work, or business function

Training Duration, Time, and Format

One full-day course and in-person training

Note: Specific training date/s can be arranged for the client if a class of a minimum of 10 pax can be confirmed

Minimum Entry Requirements

  • 21 years and above
  • Possess minimally a Secondary Level and/or listen, speak, read, and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3
  • Use numeracy skills equivalent to the Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 3
  • Minimum 1 month of working experience

Joshua Luke is a multiple-award-winning Global Master Trainer and International Speaker. A Certified Triple-Master in Etiquette (IBICA, US), Communication Consultant (CWI, AU), Image (APICSA, SA), etc., he has been featured as Celebrity Master Personal Branding Consultant by the media. A former Mr. Singapore, and former Official Trainer & Judge for several Miss Singapore pageants and for international pageants, Coach Luke has appeared on TV (MediaCorp Channel 8 & Channel U), in print (SPH’s Straits Times newspaper, Men’s Health Singapore magazine, and U-Weekly magazine), on-air (MediaCorp’s 938 Live radio station) and on-demand (Starhub’s Cable TV Channel). Also an MBA Graduate, he is currently in his last lap of DBA (Ph.D.) studies, completing his Doctoral thesis soon.
